Years ago I used a lot of 2 pack high gloss. Finishes have come a long way especially with durability and gloss levels. I find low sheen to be a practical finish that creates a lovely natural look and warmth. The image below is a 50 year old home with hardwood floors that I used a special sealer on and finished in low sheen. The result exceeded my clients expectations...
